PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly print an end mark together with print data received from a host on a continuous paper when the continuous paper being used is left little. SOLUTION: Print data of an end mark 2 is stored in a memory beforehand. A transfer amount of a continuous paper 1 transferred by a transferring means is measured, based on which it is judged whether or not a remainder of the continuous paper 1 is close to a terminal end. When it is judged that the remainder of the continuous paper 1 is close to the terminal end, the print data of the end mark 2 stored in the memory is printed to the continuous paper. At this time, the end mark 2 is adapted not to overlap with a printing of characters or the like.
