PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the existence of a liquid by arranging a detecting electrode of the liquid in a pump, and directly detecting the existence of the liquid in the pump. SOLUTION: A diaphragm pump 1 is mainly composed of a one side opening cylindrical casing 2 and a diaphragm 3 arranged so as to cover this one side opening, the casing 2 is made of a synthetic resin, penetrating two guide tubes 4 of a detecting electrode 10 are molded in the shape of projecting at an interval corresponding to an electrode interval in the bottom part, and a support part 5 for attaching a wiring base board 100 by a screw is formed in the vicinity. The round bar-shaped detecting electrode 10 inserted into a packing tube 20 is penetrated inside the guide tubes 4, and the tip 12 of thez detecting electrode 10 forms an electrode part touching a detecting object liquid. Two contact point parts 101 are arranged on the wiring board 100, and the base end 11 of the detecting electrode 10 is contacted with these contact point parts 101 to be connected to a prescribed detecting circuit.
