PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply a sensor signal to two control apparatuses and to reduce the cost for controlling an internal combustion engine by providing first and second controllers, inputting the sensor signal to the second controller, and connecting the output side of the second controller to the input side of the first controller. SOLUTION: Respective microcomputer 150, 250 in first and second controllers 100, 200 relating to the control of an internal combustion engine are mutually connected through a bus 155 in such a manner as to be data-exchangeable. On the basis of input data, signals relative to regulators 171-174 and 271-274 are calculated by each microcomputer 150, 250. The controller 200 has an evaluating circuit 230 having an engine speed sensor 105 connected thereto, and the output signal of the evaluating circuit 230 is selected by an OR element 240 and transferred to the microcomputer 250 having a sensor 255 connected thereto. The output signal of the evaluating circuit 230 is further transferred from the digital output side 210 of the controller 200 to the digital input side 120 of the first controller 100.
