PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a particle having a core/shell structure useful for powder coating for forming a conductive layer by salting out or pH adjustment of a dispersion wherein resin particulates and metal core particles are dispersed thereby obtaining a composite particle comprising the metal core particle having the resin particulates adhered to the surface thereof, and washing and drying the obtained particle. SOLUTION: A resin particulate has preferably a softening point of 70-200 deg.C and a volume average particle size of not more than 1.0μm. A material for the resin particulate is not particularly limited. As materials for a metal core particle, there can be exemplified metals such as Al, Ti, Ag, Cu, Pt, Ni, Sn, Fe and the like and alloys thereof, and the average particle size is preferably 1-20μm. In case that the fluidity of the composite particle is not enough, the surface of the composite particle is preferably subjected further to the smoothing treatment, if required. As methods for the smoothing treatment, there can be mentioned exertion of heat, impact force and frietional force. The pH is preferably adjusted to 1-4 using an acid or to 9-11 using an alkali.
