PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the flowing-out of sand from the end part without reducing the drainage effect to the side ditch in a sand-containing artificial lawn. SOLUTION: A first artificial lawn 1 containing sand is laid on a stable foundation 2 such as concrete, and a side ditch 6 is formed to the end part of the stable foundation 2. Then, on the end top of the stable foundation 2 adjacent to this side ditch 6, the first artificial lawn 1 is not existent, but water permeable blocks 7 are laid thereon, a second artificial lawn 13 in which piles 11 whose height is lower than that of the pile 4 bristled on the base cloth 3 of the first artificial lawn 1 are laid on the blocks 7.
