PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold air generator for forklifts that is efficient or needs less power, is inexpensive, is easy to install on forklifts and can improve work environment at summer through the supply of cold air to forklift operators, and provide a forklift mounted with the cold air generator. SOLUTION: A cold air generator 3 for forklifts includes, in a casing 15 which has air inlet ports 22 and an air outlet port 23 and can fix to a mounting portion 13 such as the overhead guard of a forklift via a mounting means 16, a plurality of water absorption sheets 33 stacked at proper intervals and an electric blower 26 powered or rotated by the battery of the forklift to produce air currents aspirated into the casing 15 via the inlet ports 22 and emitted out via the outlet port 23 after passing the gaps between the water absorption sheets 33. The air passing the gaps between the water absorption sheets 33 is cooled down by the heat of vaporization of water from their surfaces.
