<p>A fire-resistant coating material comprising an epoxy resin, a hardener, and an inorganic filler or comprising a butyl or isobutylene rubber and an inorganic filler, wherein (1) the sum of the epoxy resin and the hardener or the amount of the butyl or isobutylene rubber is 100 parts by weight, (2) the amount of the inorganic filler, comprising a neutralized, heat-expandable graphite, etc., is 200 to 500 parts by weight, (3) the amount of the neutralized, heat-expandable graphite in the inorganic filler is 15 to 400 parts by weight, (4) and the fire-resistant coating material has a viscosity as measured with a Brookfield viscometer of 1 to 1,000 P. The coating material has remarkable fire resistance and is usable in a wide range of applications.</p> |
