<p>A microphone detects sounds produced by a speaker unit used for an audio device, and the detected signal is used to correct the sounds from the speaker unit. A speaker device comprises a speaker unit (1) for reproducing the output signal from an amplifier, a microphone (4) for detecting the sound output from the speaker unit (1), and a feedback circuit for feeding the detected sound output signal back to the input of the amplifier. The microphone (4) is arranged near the location where the sound pressure becomes minimum for at least one of the secondary or higher tube resonances of a sound tube (2), thereby suppressing the effects of the secondary or higher resonance. As a result, the effects of resonance are removed from the feedback circuit, the stability of the feedback circuit is improved, and the sound characteristics of the speaker device are improved.</p> |
