<p>The invention concerns a cellular material comprising low-density particles embedded in a composite binder consisting mainly of a resin matrix and a reinforcing filler in the form of short fibres or microspheres or both, characterised in that: the low-density particles are beads made of an expanded material; the reinforcing filler consists essentially of fibres with length ranging from 0.1 to 0.3 mm and/or microspheres of about 0.02 to 0.1 mm in diameter. The diameter of the beads made of expanded material ranging between 4 and 20 times the length of the fibres or the diameter of the microspheres of the reinforcing filler.</p> |
