System for the controlled propulsion of a transportation device which comprises at least two drive wheels actuated by electromotor means, the system having at least two drive means powered by both independent electromotors; each electromotor receives electric energy through an independent power amplifier which amplifies electric signals generated by sensor means; the sensor means detect a mechanical force exerted on a push and traction element and they transform said mechanical force into electric signals which are indicative of the degree and direction of the mechanical force exerted in said push and traction element; the amplifier amplifies the signals according to a factor which is function of the weight that the trolley has to displace and transport, the amplifier supplying the electromotor so that the latter drives the drive wheel according to a torque which corresponds to the displacement controlled by the sensor means.
