A machine housing has an aperture which is sealed by a cup-shaped cap (7) which is inverted and held in a socket. The socket is secured to the housing by suitable fastening members such as rivets. The socket has a central non-circular access recess and seal which receive the side lobes at the base (6) of the inserted cap.
