The lead cable screw fitting is made of an insulating material or metal and is secured in an opening in a switch cabinet housing or distributor box via spring clips (3) instead of the standard external screw thread. The spring clips (3) are pressed inwards during the insertion of the lead cable screw fitting and spring outwards to locate behind the edge of the insertion opening for holding the lead cable screw fitting in place.
