This invention is a retention bolster (21) for a flexible tube segment (15) in a corporeal access tube assembly (10). The bolster (21) includes a body (81) molded in one piece of silicone rubber, and cut into two legs (83, 84) along a portion of its length. One of the legs (83) has a collar (89) formed on its free end, with a lip (90) under which the free end of the other leg (84) nestles. To hold the legs (83, 84) together and grip a tube segment (15) between them, an O-ring (82) is rolled over the collar (89) into a depressio n (86) encircling both legs (83, 84) without contracting into the cut between the legs. |
