PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device trying again branching selection with simple operation and in a short time. SOLUTION: A system controller 60 stores the contents of program chain information PGCI answering to a branching selection picture in a RAM 62 when the branching selection picture of a story is displayed, and a next story is selected. When a reselect key of an operation part 58 is depressed by a user, and trying again of story selection is instructed, the system controller 60 reads out the contents of the PGCI stored in the RM 62 just before, and processes the answering PGC, and tries again reproducing operation from just before story branch.
