PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for formwork which is not restricted by the finishing method for concrete wall surface, is capable of adopting finish methods utilizing the wall surface as it is after removing a concrete formwork such as an exposed concrete finish and a finish method giving irregular patterns to wall surfaces by using design panels or the like, and of simplifying the work for treating the cutting end portions of separator for formworks thereby giving better appearances. SOLUTION: When a pair of formworks facing each other is arranged on two upper and lower stages, this formwork separator 1 is able to hold an interval between a pair of formworks by attaching it between the upper stage and the lower stage. Therefore, notch grooves 11 are provided with a distance between the grooves shorter than the distance D between the inner surfaces during the installation of a pair of formworks and a predetermined space held around the notch groove 11 is provided and cap 2 is attached in a detachable manner.
