PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve interlayer adhesion property by compounding a specified amt. of the additive source material consisting of cement, Al compd. source and gypsum dihydrate into the source material, manufacturing a sheet from the slurry to obtain a green sheet and subjecting the green sheet to hydrothermal synthesis. SOLUTION: The additive source material consisting of cement, Al compd. source and gypsum dihydrate is compounded by 10 to 100 pts.wt. into 100 pts.wt. of the source material slurry containing a siliceous source, lime source and reinforcing fibers. Preferably, the cement, Al compd. and gypsum dihydrate are added to the source material in external proportions, by 5 to 50 pts.wt., 2 to 15 pts.wt. and 5 to 60 pts.wt., respectively, to the source material. The obtd. slurry is to obtain a green sheet. The face of the green sheet is pressed, preferably at 1.0 to 7.0 N/mm2 pressure. Then the sheet is aged in vapor at 30 to 80 deg.C for 1 to 10 hours, and subjected to hydrothermal synthesis in an autoclave at 160 to 190 deg.C for 5 to 20 hours. |
