PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the development position of a map and a present display position in compliance with a moving speed so as to accurately display a present position by predicting a moving distance in a time required for indicating the present position from generation of position information. SOLUTION: A global positioning system(GPS) reception unit 101 receives GPS signal and output a position data, and the output signal is outputted to a CPU 112 via a communication interface 102. Output signals from a direction sensor 103 and a vehicle speed sensor 104 are outputted to the CPU 112 via an input interface 105. The CPU 112 computes a present position of a vehicle on the basis of inputted various signals, and the computed position information is displayed on a display 111 via a display processor 110. A moving distance during a time required for indicating the present position from generation of the position information is predicted, and on the basis of the generated position information and the predicted moving distance, a present position is computed and the computed present position is displayed. |
