LIGHTWEIGHT STRUCTURE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a lightweight structure having a high strength, excellent in water, weather and fouling resistances and heat insulating properties and more resistant to heat than a conventional product and a method for producing the lightweight structure. SOLUTION: This lightweight structure has an inner layer and an outer layer and the inner layer is a foam. The outer layer is formed of a composition containing a synthetic resin emulsion so as to provide <=20 wt.% amount of an organic material used based on amorphous silica, a cement, quartz sand and an inorganic component. The foam is preferably a resin foam preferably provided with a reinforcing member.
