<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a color filter having excellent surface flatness by applying an ink on an ink accepting layer formed on a transparent substrate by ink-jet method. SOLUTION: A light-shielding layer 2 is formed on a transparent substrate 1, and an ink accepting layer 3 made of a photosensitive resin compsn. is formed all over the substrate, on which a press substrate 4 is pressed to form recesses and projections in the ink accepting layer 3. Further, the light-shielding region 5 of the press substrate 4 is used as a mask to expose the resin to light according to the pattern. Thus, the ink accepting layer 3 on the light shielding layer 2 is hardened to form a non-colored part 6. An ink is applied on the recesses which are not exposed to light so as to form a colored part 8. Thus, swelling in the colored part 8 is compensated, and the obtd. color filter has small difference in level on its surface.</p> |
