摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate input of positioning data for correctly position and operate a robot. SOLUTION: Positioning data inputted to a positioning data generating device 16 through an input/output interface 162 from an input unit 12 is coversion- operated and processed in each axial conversion operation part 161 to determine each axial move quantity of a robot. When each axial move quantity of the robot is within a possible action range of each axis of the robot stored in a stroke limit storage memory 167, the positioning data is stored in a positioning data holding memory 165. When moving quantity of either axis is beyond the possible action range, the inputted positioning data is recomputed into other positioning data capable of taking an attitude similar to an attitude taken by an electrode of a welding robot by an attitude data converting part 166, and it is stored in the positioning data holding memory 165.
