PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with manual operation for adjusting light output in the method of adjusting the automatic power control circuit and opto-electric conversion circuit constituting transmission by an optical communication system. SOLUTION: When optical output of a laser diode 4 is smaller than a predetermined optical output, the set voltage value to the electronic volume 9 is changed. When the optical output of the laser diode 4 reaches the predetermined optical output, the set voltage value to the electronic volume 9 is fixed. Using the fixed voltage value as the initial value, voltage obtained by detecting the change in the optical output of the laser diode 4 is supplied to the power supply terminal of the electronic volume 9, and the output from the electronic volume 9 is provided as automatic power control voltage. |
