PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fly waste form piling at the inside of yarn winding surface without damaging the weft insertion property of a weft yarn. SOLUTION: This fly waste-removing device in a weft yarn length measuring and storing device is provided by blowing air from an air nozzle 22 installed as penetrating at a cover 14 toward an introducing port 152 at the side of a base plate 15. An introducing pipe 233 is installed as penetrating at the base plate 15 so as to connect the same with the introducing port 152. At the front surface of the base plate 15, a direction-changing tool 24 is fixed. The air flow blown into the inside of the introducing port 152 from the air nozzle 22 passes through the introducing pipe 23 and then flows into the inside of the direction- changing tool 24. The air flowing into the inside of the direction-changing tool 24 is turned to a different direction by a screen 243 to the inner circumferential surface side of a yarn winding surface forming body 17.
