PURPOSE: A value added information transmitting apparatus is provided to receive a fax file, make a space by compressing the fax file, insert an advertisement information on the space, and transmit the advertisement information added fax to a fax recipient, so that it can save the fax communication expense because the advertisement offerer can pay a part of the fax communication expense. CONSTITUTION: The value added information transmitting apparatus comprises a fax information sending machine(2), a fax information processor(8), a fax communication network(10), such as a leased line, PC communication network or internet, a fax receiving machine(12). The fax information processor(8) includes a database(32) contents and reference codes in relation with the contents, an information extractor(34) extracting the contents satisfied under a set condition, an editor(36) forming the space by compressing the original fax copy and inserting the extracted contents in the space, a controller(40) controlling the operation of the processor. and a transmission history recorder(20) recording phone numbers, transmission numbers, fax titles and so on.
