PURPOSE: An internet telephone device with a multi-channel hook switch and a method for communicating the same are provided to connect a hook switch to a sound card as well as an outer microphone and an outer speaker by using a hook switch including a plurality of switch. CONSTITUTION: An internet telephone device with a multi-channel hook switch and a method for communicating the same comprises a computer(101), a storage portion(128), a network interface portion(126), a sound card(130), a control portion(125). A hook switch(132) of an internet telephone device(120) is connected to an input/output terminal of the sound card in the computer. The hook switch maintains a state of hook-on and a state of hook-off. The hook switch is connected to a handset(121) of the internet telephone device, an outer microphone(110), and an outer speaker(112).
