The welding torch or gun is the element through which flows the welding wire provided by an automatic supplier or reeler, the neutral protection gas around the welding arc, the torch having a nozzle where the arc is produced. According to the invention, the support or body (23) of the gun is made of a high heat resistant and dielectric or insulating material which is also shock resistant thereby impeding internal contact formation. The gun tube (22) is made of solid copper intended to reduce its resistivity and the generation of heat during the passage of high currents, so that the torch can operate with currents of up to 400 A without refrigeration. Externally the gun body (23) is provided with a nylon washer (20) which is intended to optimize the adjustment to the holding support on the machine. The external refrigeration conduits which are included in the gun body (23) are used for air injection purposes in order to eliminate projections (17) which could enter inside the nozzle and creating a contact.
