The rear wheel has a central hub (2) with a fixing flange (7, 8) at each end for the spokes, one closer to the center than the other, the difference being made up by an extension (6) for the free wheel device and the sprocket. Some of the spokes (3) are not crossed, and others (4) are. The uncrossed spokes are at a small angle to the radial in the traction direction so that they are at the best angle for the transmission of the drive torque from the hub to the rim.
