The sound reproduction device (1) uses a mini-disc (90) having a main data region in which the main data is recorded, a main data management region recorded with management data for controlling the main data, a sub-data region recorded with sub-data and a sub-data management region recorded with management data for controlling the sub-data. The playback head is tracked radially across the mini-disc, with an operating device (23) controlling the servocircuit (9) to allow a first operating mode in which the main data abd the sub-data are reproduced in synchronism and a second operating mode in which either the main data or the sub-data is reproduced.
