The invention relates to a seat (1) comprising at least one seat and/or backrest element (2, 3) that can be maintained on a support (4) and displaced in a relative position thereto by means of an actuator (5, 6). The at least one seat and/or backrest element (2, 3) can be moved forwards or backwards according to the body position of the person sitting on the seat, whereby the actuator cooperates with a body position detector for control purposes, or the at least one seat and/or backrest element (2, 3) can be moved backwards according to the movements of the person sitting on the seat (1). The seat element (2) and the back element (3) can be moveably guided in a restrained guidance system and pivotally connected to each other by means of an articulated pin (7), whereby they can be guided at a distance from said articulated pin (7) and can be rotated around their guide axes or guiding pin (8, 9). The inventive seat (1) is particularly comfortable and easy to handle. It provides users with a highly attractive ergonomic arrangement in all positions of adjustment on account of the restrained guidance and connection between the seat and back elements.
