The invention relates to a device for coating a planiform carrier with a solution or dispersion using a film drawing device which is moved relative to the carrier. The aim of the invention is to provide a coating with a homogeneous predetermined layer thickness and a uniform surface quality. To this end, the device has a fixture (4) for arranging a film drawing device (1) above the carrier (6). On said fixture, the film drawing device (1) is movably mounted and is forced towards the carrier (6).
