PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter, which is small in size and low in cost and has a function in which a steady operation is automatically restored after an output short circuit is released. SOLUTION: Blocking oscillation is generated by a transformer winding 2, a transistor 3, a capacitor 4, a resistor 5 and a starting resistor 6. Energy is charged/discharged through a transformer winding 1. A rectified output is connected to a voltage output terminal through a capacitor 18 and diodes 19 and 20. A diode 22, which is a short circuit protective circuit, is connected between the voltage output terminal and the base of the transistor 3.
