PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the walker detection system for a vehicle which can obtain behavior information on whether a walker is normally walking or running and attract driver's attention. SOLUTION: A GPS measurement part which is carried by a walker 1 and gathers walker position measurement data needed to measure the current position of the walker 1, an accelerometer part which measures acceleration, and a portable transmitter 2 which obtains walker information composed of the position and behavior of the walker from the walker position measurement data and walker acceleration and gives a notice of the walker information are used. Further, the walker detection system for the vehicle has a GPS measurement part which is mounted on the vehicle which measures the current position, a receiver which receives the walker information from the portable transmitter 2 directly or indirectly through a base station 3, a decision part which decides the walker information is walker information needed for the traveling of the vehicle 4, and an. information presentation part which presents the decision result.
