PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the data transfer speed by laminating two ring type thin film magnetic heads in a direction vertical to a substrate, separating both magnetic heads by an insulation layer without crossing forming planes of both magnetic heads, and arranging them mutually deviatedly. SOLUTION: Each magnetic head is laminated mainly in a direction vertical to a substrate, planes on which a thin film magnetic head formed never crosses, is separated by an insulation layer, and its distance depends on track pitch. Therefore, the track pitch can be controlled by varying freely the depth of these insulation layers. Further, the position of the gaps of the thin film magnetic head are arranged deviatedly in parallel to the substrate. A material having a large permeability in high magnetic field is mostly used for a material of a yoke used at the time of recording comparing with a material of a yoke guiding flux from a magnetic disk to a magnetic resistance effect element at the time of reproducing, as a material constituting yokes of these heads, while constitution in which this material can be used is adopted.
