PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the occupancy space of a cleaning mechanism part small by returning a first arm which can be positioned at an approximate position approximate to a magnetic head and a retreating position pressed back in the direction not crossing the retreating position by being pressed by a threader mechanism, at the time of unloading operation of a magnetic tape from a cartridge. SOLUTION: A threader pin 26 abuts on an arm 43 at the time of rewinding in operation of storing a magnetic tape in a cartridge, and a first arm 41 also is rotated linking with it counterclockwise to pushing this. The first arm 41, a second arm 42 being linked with a third arm 43 is returned to a prescribed approximate position by rotating of the third arm 43 by the threader pin 26, and a brush 44 abuts on a magnetic head 35 again. After that, the magnetic tape is stored in the cartridge. Cleaning of the magnetic head is performed by vibrating the magnetic head up and down in a state in which the brush 44 abuts on the magnetic head 35.
