<p>As the sliver passes over a fixed roller, a pivoted roller indicates its state through a pivoted contact to a number of leads across a set contact bridge. According to the position of the contact so the motor drive to the drawing rollers is adjusted by steps to give a consistent sliver titre output for feed to a spinning machine. By giving automatic control in steps, within pre-set tolerances, the sliver output is at a constant quality and speed using few mechanical parts and with no fibre damage.</p> |
