PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heater having a heating wire wound around a bobbin difficult to be easily ruptured, having no influence even if it is ruptured, and also having a small contact resistance with a lead wire. SOLUTION: In this electric heater in which a heating wire 20 is wound around a bobbin 10 of a fire insulating material having many holes, and a lead wire 30 is inserted in a bobbin hole 11, a heating wire 20a or 20b having continuity with the heating wire 20 and a heat resistant reinforcing wire 40 are inserted along the lead wire 30 to form a multiple stranded wire T by stranding them, the end part of the multiple stranded wire T is wound around the end part of the lead wire 30 at the hole inlet 111 where winding of the heating wire 20 around the bobbin 10 starts, and the end part of the multiple stranded wire T is wound around the outlet part of the lead wire 30 at the hole inlet 111 where winding of the heating wire 20 around the bobbin 10 ends.
