PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To brighten the inside of a store to lure customers while saving energy by installing multiple light sources arranged in the central part of the store in an array form in a manner that sets the lengthwise direction of their luminescent parts in parallel with the entering direction from the entrance to the store. SOLUTION: The lines of luminescent parts are arranged in parallel with each other between merchandize display racks 3 which are so arranged in multiple lines in the central part of a store as to be parallel with the entering direction from the store entrance 2. The sense of brightness can sufficiently be kept even if a predetermined number of lamps are reduced by arranging multiple light sources 4-6 using straight tube type fluorescent lamps or the like near and along walls 7-9. Thereby, the front wall surface opposite to the entrance is brightly irradiated, the luminescent parts can be seen well, and high luminance part occupies the inside of a visual field when viewed from the outside of the store. Each interval (a) in the lengthwise direction of the luminescent parts of the light sources 1 is preferably 0.1-1 times as much as the length L in the lengthwise direction of the luminescent parts. When the walls 8, 9 are irradiated by using a reflecting plate, the sense of brightness of the whole space can be enhanced.
