SERIAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR MEASUREMENT DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the serial transmission system for measurement data which efficiently transmit the temporally varying measurement data at a limited serial transmission rate and detect an error of the received measurement data. SOLUTION: When the measurement data 20a outputted from a sensor part 20 that a rotary encoder etc. is equipped with varies from the previously sent measurement data by a previously set specific condition, a transmission control part 21 on the side of a measurement part 2 supplies the current measurement data 20a to a serial transmission part 24 to send it in series. A receive data decision part 34 on the side of a reception part 3 detects whether or not the transmitted measurement data has no error on condition that the current receive data varies from the last receive data by the previously set specific condition. When the measurement data is represented in gray code, measurement data whose bit variation number has reached a prescribed number is transmitted in series.
