PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the landslide observation device which can make a continuous observation with low electric power consumption and send data to the remote observation head office. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a detecting device 1 which detects a landslide, a transmitting means 2 which sends observation data detected by the detecting device 1 according to an indication from a controller 3, a receiving means 2 which receives a signal from the remote observation head office, a battery 4, power switches 5 and 6 which turn on and off electrification, and the controller 3, and the controller 3 turns on the power switch 5 in every specific time cycle to electrify the detecting device 1 and gather and store observation data in a memory 3B, turns on the power switch 6 in every specific cycle to place the receiving means and transmitting means 2 in operation, and transmits the observation data by the transmitting means 2 when receiving a specific transmission command from the observation head office through the receiving means 2 in the inoperation state.
