摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microprocessor device which can process variable-length data without using branch instruction and speed up software instructions handling the variable-length data. SOLUTION: An instruction division part 2 divides a microinstruction supplied from an instruction supply part 1 into derivative microinstructions handling normal data length when the microinstruction is a microinstruction handling variable-length data. A reservation station 5 supplies the derivative microinstructions to an execution unit 6 and a redundant instruction detection part 9 in the division order. The redundant instruction detection part 9 monitors redundant derivative microinstructions. An instruction deletion part 8 deletes the redundant derivative microinstructions from the reservation station 5. An instruction end operation part 7 sets the redundant derivative microinstructions in a reorder buffer 4 in an execution completed state.
