PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candlestick capable of preventing wax from dripping and burning a candle to the end. SOLUTION: A plurality of supporting members 4 are held on a pan 1 of a candlestick, and a base part of a candle is pinched from the periphery by the supporting members 4 so as to be supported in the supported space 5 surrounded by the supporting members 4. The supported space 5 is contracted and expanded when a supporting member pressing mechanism, comprising a pushing member 7 for making contact with end surfaces 7b of the supporting members 4 and moving the supporting members slantly upwardly and downwardly and a cum mechanism including a cum 9 or the like arranged beneath the pushing member 7, moves the supporting members 4 slantly upwardly and downwardly.
