PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer EL element having high display quality. SOLUTION: This luminescence element is characterized that a transparent substrate 1, the first thick films of electroluminescence elements 2, 3 and 4 laid at the side of the transparent substrate 1, and the second thick films of electroluminescence elements 5, 6 and 7 stacked at the opposite side of the transparent substrate 1 of the elements 2, 3 and 4, and capable of emitting light to a desired pattern shape.
