摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce surely the total deterioration and to improve the yield by making temperature of heat treatment in annealing treatment of a free layer lower than a specific temperature. SOLUTION: Two ferromagnetic layer of a free layer 40 and a pined layer 42 are magnetically separated by a non-magnetic metal layer 41 and they constitutes a sandwich structure. Anti-ferromagnetic layers 43 are laminated on the pined layer 42, an exchange-bias magnetic field generated at the interface is applied to the pined layer 42 and pined. An exchange-bias magnetic field is not applied to the free layer 42, and the magnetic direction is varied depending on a leakage magnetic field from a magnetic disk. A pin-anneal processing is performed by keeping a prescribed temperature and lowering the temperature in a state in which a prescribed magnetic field is applied in the pined direction orthogonally crossing a track width direction. Next, free layer annealing processing is performed by giving temperature of lower than 150 degrees C, for example, 145 degrees, and keeping this temperature during the prescribed time and reducing temperature in a state in which the prescribed magnetic field is applied in the track width direction.
