PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a body cover by suppressing the generation of warp by forming a cut part in discontinuous annular form on a rib part and improving the precision of the installation surface for a slip ring, as for the body cover which is constituted so that the rib part for fitting the slip ring is formed integrally. CONSTITUTION:A body cover 21 for a steering wheel is molded integrally through the injection molding, etc., in which molten synthetic resin is jetted into a shaping mold. Though, in this case, the rib parts 29a-29c are hardened earlier than a cover body 27, the contraction action in the inside diameter direction of each rib 29a-29c is less, since the cut parts 30a-30c are formed in discontinuous annular form on the rib parts 29a-29c. Accordingly, the generation of warp at the projection part 26 on the reverse surface of the cover body 27 is prevented, and the surface fineness of the installation surface 31 for a slip ring 28 can be improved, and the yield of the body cover 21 can be improved. |
