A mechanical reciprocal coupling arrangement of wheel vehicle bogies 1, 2 for roads or rail tracks, each having one or more pairs of wheels, and being pivotally mounted by means of turntables 3, 4 to each of a train of vehicle chassis or bodies 5, comprises two horizontal diagonally crossed links 6, 7 connected by ball- and-socket joints 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b to the bogies 1, 2, wherein the straight line through the joints 6a, 6b or 7a, 7b is tangential to the two imaginary circles y, y drawn through the joints 6a, 7a and 6b, 7b and centred on the vertical pivot axis of each bogie, when the transverse axes x-x of the bogies are parallel. The leading bogie or vehicle is steered by internal mechanism in the case of road vehicles, or by coaction of guide wheels associated with bogie or vehicle loadcarrying wheels, with side surfaces of track rails. |
