PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of moving an object on a screen which facilitates the selecting and moving of the first or the second object on the screen. SOLUTION: A start line 11 or an end line 12 is moved according to the motion of a pointer. Each selection range b is a display section for the start line 11 and the end line 12, set in a display section existing in the area of a ruler 2. When the start line 11 and the end line 12 are separated, the selection ranges are set in sections extended both inward and outward. When they are close, the selection ranges are set in sections extended outward. When a common selection range c is selected, the start line 11 and the end line 12 move without changing the distance between them. |
