<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag free from degradation of the production efficiency, little in loss of heat energy, and free from air pollution by transferring the molten slag generated during the melting or the refining to another container together with a molten steel, adding a reducing agent, and stirring the slag and the molten steel by blowing the inert gas. SOLUTION: A molten slag 4 generated in melting or refining a steel containing chromium in an electric furnace 1 (or a converter) is transferred to a ladle 5 together with a molten steel 3, and an aluminum dross 6 which is a reducing agent to reduce an oxide of chromium or iron is added to the ladle 5. Then, the slag 4 and the molten steel 3 are stirred in the ladle 5 by blowing argon gas 8 from the top through a lance 7 immersed in the molten steel 3, or inserting an impeller 9 to turn the impeller 9. The aluminum dross 6 may be added in the molten slag 4 and the molten steel 3 in the electric furnace 1.</p> |
