PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating agent excellent in heat stability under high temperature without compounding an antioxidant, capable of keeping lubricating property for a long time and useful for production of electric wires, or the like, by including a specific polyoxyalkylene compound. SOLUTION: This lubricating agent comprises a polyoxyalkylene compound represented by formula I [Z is a residue of a compound having 2-8 hydroxyl groups; A1O and A2O are each a mixture of one or more kinds of 2-4C oxyalkylenes; B1O and B2O are each a group of formula II (R is a 2-5C alkylene; R2 is H, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium, an alkylene ammonium or a 1-24C hydrocarbon); R is a 1-24C hydrocarbon, an acyl or H; (m) and (n) are each 0-8; (m+n) is 2-8; (am+bn) is 1 to 1,500; (im+jn) is 0.1-10], e.g. a compound of formula III. |
