PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor device by which more living-body components can be detected by a method wherein the surface of a sensor is chemically modified by using a polymer which has various characteristics and functions. SOLUTION: This metal thin film is formed in such a way that (1) the surface of a metal thin film which has a free-electron metal surface is treated with an organic linker which has a functional group capable of being immobilized to a metal surface and a functional group capable of being bonded to a polymer and that (2) it is treated with a polymer which has a functional group capable of being bonded directly to a reagent for detection or a functional group capable of being bonded to the reagent for detection via a spacer and a functional group capable of being bonded to the organic linker. In more detail, the polymer refers to a polymer which has an amino group such as chitosan, polyethleneimine or the like.
