PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new ventilation system for effectively and efficiently performing an indoor heat exchange and ventilation by eliminating a complicated duct. SOLUTION: A heat exchanging ventilator 5 is provided in a communicating closed space 1 formed by a space part 2 in the ceiling and wall space parts 3 and 4 which communicate together. A first vent opening 11 is formed through which the heat exchanging ventilator 5 and common spaces 9 communicate with each other. Second vent openings 12 are formed through which the common spaces 9 communicate with each room 10. Third vent openings 13 are formed through which each room 10 communicates with the communicating closed space 1. A fourth vent opening 54 is formed through which the communicating closed space 1 communicates with the heat exchanging ventilator 5. Air is ventilated through the first vent opening 11, the second vent openings 12 and the third vent openings 13, respectively. The air is ventilated between each room 10 and the communicating closed space 1 through the third vent openings 13. The air is ventilated between the communicating closed space 1 and the heat exchanging ventilator 5 through the fourth vent opening and air obtained by performing a heat exchange between indoor air and outside air is circulated so that an indoor ventilation is carried out.
