PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing and motor minimized in friction loss even when a rotating shaft receives an external force in the axially orthogonal direction, during rotation. SOLUTION: A sliding bearing 7 is substantially cylindrically formed and provided with an annular support surface 7a for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft 3 on the inside surface. An inclined part 7c inclined on the outer side of the substantially cylindrical form toward one end of that cylindrical form is formed on at least a circumferential part of the support surface 7a. The sliding bearing 7 is arranged so that the inclined part 7a is inclined, with respect to the rotating shaft 3 that receives an external force in the axially orthogonal direction Y, in the direction of the external direction.
